Lightning kills two in Mbaazagee, Benue State

Two persons are feared dead as they were reportedly struck by lightning at Mbaazagee, Mbagen in Buruku LGA of Benue State.
One Mrs. Mbailuve Agwa in the middle of her 2 kids was struck by lightning, that instantly killed the mom and her girl child whereas her son was rendered unconscious. He was later assisted and brought to an unnamed hospital by neighbours.

The deceased, a mother of 2 on the fateful day, left her husband’s home upon a misunderstanding that ensued between them, to her paternal home when the tragedy struck.

The deceased had been married to her husband, identified as Mr. Igbawua Agwa from Mbagba in Ush-ongo LGA, for fifteen years and also the wedding was blessed with 2 kids.

This happened during a heady downpour (rain) in the community.

The District Head of Mbaazagee, Chief D. Senenge, in an interview with Sunday Mirror, ex-pressed shocked over the disaster, saying, “This quite calamity has never befallen the community.”
