Dozens ‘Burned’ in Nigeria Petrol Tanker Blaze
People who rushed to scoop up fuel after a petrol tanker tipped over in Ahoada, near PH on Thursday suffered burns.
This was just minutes after the tanker caught fire. It was also recorded that a lot of people lost their lives in this incident.
“People rushed there to scoop for fuel and there was a fire which consumed a lot of people,” said Rivers State police spokesman, Ben Ugwuegbulem.
A rescue official who requested anonymity said “some were killed in the inferno,” but that casualty figures were still being compiled, reports AFP.
