Democracy Day Nigeria 2012 Celebration Cancelled over Bomb Blast

Democracy Day Nigeria 2012 Celebrations has been cancelled in Abuja over the current unrest in the state due to Bomb Blasts.

Though, The President, Goodluck Jonathan did gave a speech to mark Decocracy Day 2012 in Nigeria. This was aired through the NTA at 8am this morning.

Amongst other issues revealed was the need to keep Nigeria as One and to keep up the good fight of Decocracy as initiated by those before us.

A statement by the presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, on Monday said the Jonathan broadcast would be aired live from the President’s workplace.

It could be recalled that on October one, 2010, 2 bombs exploded close to the Eagle sq. venue of the fiftieth independence anniversary celebrations, killing several and injuring many others.
