3 burnt to death in car crash on Sallah day – FRSC
The Federal Road Safety Corps revealed that 3 people were killed in a car crash on Sallah day in Ilorin.This took place close to NNPC depot at Oke Oyi, where fuel laden tanker had a brake failure, subsequently ramming into a taxi which caught fire as the tanker also lost control and fell, spilling its cargo on the road.
The state sector commander of the FRSC, Oladayo Ademoluti who spoke with newsmen Friday, said that, the men of the corps were helpless as the occupants of the taxi were burnt to death.
He added that the remains of the victims of the accident had been deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITHI, Ilorin.
He further stated that 16 people died in another auto crash involving a trailer and a commuter bus at Osin river community, a suburb of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Wednesday.
